Twelve South announced the product we've been waiting for. A solution to join Apple's Wireless Keyboard and Magic Trackpad for the living room. Apple's remote is fine and dandy, but driving a Mac Mini is best experienced with a keyboard mouse, particularly if you want to do some video streaming from various media outlets. This might be handy too for those at a desk just wanting to have the input devices together. Essentially MagicWand is a plastic cradle that snaps over the cylindrical battery portion of the keyboard and trackpad. Twelve South goes a couple steps further by adding an "H" beam to link the sides of the devices together. For the final touch, a small piece of rubber fills in the gaps. The Magic Trackpad can be placed on either side of the board. The MagicWand retails for .99 and is available now. www.twelvesouth.com

First off, I'm a bit biased on this question because I absolutely love the Apple wireless keyboard. My typing is great on it and if it breaks, I'm going to buy another one quickly. So naturally, this would be the keyboard I would recommend. Something you said that makes me hesitate to recommend it to you: You stated you hated the Macbook Keyboard and the Apple Wireless Keyboard has a very similar form factor to the Macbook keyboard. The keys may be a little bit wider in terms of spacing, but they're virtually identical. Dr. Joshua Miele demonstrates the WearaBraille, a new virtual wireless Braille keyboard, as an input device to an iPhone running the built-in VoiceOver screen reader. The technology was developed at the Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute by Dr. Miele and engineering fellow Owen Edwards, and presented at CSUN (The Annual International Technology & Persons with Disabilities Conference) in 2010 and 2011.
