I do not work for Dell. I only ordered an XPS 17 L702X and neglected to add the backlit keyboard during the customization process. This video is to show other owners of XPS 17 L702X models how to install a backlit keyboard on their own laptops if they wish and that it isn't nearly as difficult as it would seem. If you are curious about changing out the keyboard of other laptop models and whether this can be done just simply google the model of your laptop followed by "service manual" and more than likely you should get a link to Dell's site or some other site that offer this info.

Japanese scientists have created the first step toward a device that, by scanning people's brains, could record people's dreams and read their mind. A science lab in Kyoto, Japan has developed a system of using MRI scanners to resolve images directly from subject's brains. The current experiments show a subject an image and then reconstruct that image based on scans of the brain's visual cortex. The team calibrated a computer program by scanning volunteers staring at hundreds of different still images in black, white and grey. Then, the computer program reproduces the figures and letters that the volunteers had seen, albeit more blurry than the originals. The next step for researchers will be to study how to visualize images inside people's minds that have not been presented before - a technology that could make it possible to record people's dreams. Updates: 1. There are 5 screws in total, one more hidden between G and H. When you get all the screws out then it's easy to get the board out! 2. The spacebar that comes with the keyboard is opaque. The translucent spacebar in the video is KBC's smoky translucent spacebar. 3. There are dip switches below the keyboard that can disable the windows key. 4.
