This is a very quick review of the new Bluetooth Keyboards appearing on ebay at the moment. They look very similar to the apple version in the ebay listings. Don't be fooled, they are made of plastic but having said that, they do seem to work well and if you're after a cheap alternative, they are worth it. Twelve South announced the product we've been waiting for. A solution to join Apple's Wireless Keyboard and Magic Trackpad for the living room. Apple's remote is fine and dandy, but driving a Mac Mini is best experienced with a keyboard mouse, particularly if you want to do some video streaming from various media outlets. This might be handy too for those at a desk just wanting to have the input devices together. Essentially MagicWand is a plastic cradle that snaps over the cylindrical battery portion of the keyboard and trackpad. A lot of people have asked me how to record keyboards and other instruments/devices into ACID. This is my official response. Summary: An explanation as to which cables you need in order to record sound from an external device (keyboard, rack, turntable, mic, etc.) into Sony ACID (or any other software multitrack) and how to connect these cables to your computer's stock sound card. If you are not using a stock soundcard, ie the sound card that your computer came with, this video may not help you. This video should apply to virtually all PC stock sound cards and external devices such as turntables, microphones (dynamic or condenser), keyboards/racks (including the roland phantom, korg triton and oasis, yamaha motif, sr-3, etc), guitar amplifiers, vcr's, televisions, dvd players, and basically anything else that outputs sound.

While most of you can type Japanese on your keyboard just fine, I thought I'd show you what a keyboard in Japan looks like. It's very much the same as a standard "qwerty" keyboard with some changes to the non-alphabet keys. No real "opinion" given in this episode - just a little slice of daily life - but that's how this series will go. Of course, getting used to using a Japanese OS and having Windows and Excel, etc all in Japanese has been much tougher than adapting to the keyboard. Swype is the best keyboard for android and any phone that doesn't have a physical keyboard, I grew on a lot on phones without physical keyboards because they tend to break easier or mess up. So even with a phone with a nice keyboard such as my girls mytouch 3g slide, her phone comes pre-loaded with swype already. So it's really nice. Launcher pro can be found on the market for free, and the clock and widget video will be next, so be patient, it's 3:30am and I have to be up at 5:45am for work.
